Well its that time again. This past weekend found my wife and I beginning the annual 3D ritual. This weekend was very busy with the first major 3D tournament of the year being on Saturday and Sunday and then the Humphries 3D PopUp finals on Saturday afternoon. The Humphries shoot is a speed and accuracy shoot which is much different then most archery events. It is a very unique experience because you are shooting extremely quick and you have a large group of spectators who are watching. If you have never had the opportunity to try this it is awesome. The finals consist of 32 shooters who shoot head to head. In order to level the playing field they change how long the animals are standing. Being that I qualified at the top I had 3 seconds to shoot each target.
I qualified on Thursday morning which was the first day you could qualify. I was actually the first shooter to shoot and I stayed on the top of the board throughout the weekend. When the finals came the speeds got much quicker but I was able to maintain my composure and bring home the win for Elite. I was the only person in the field shooting an Elite bow and my GT500 and Goldtip arrows represented themselves well, (first on the board and last one standing). Along with my success my wife managed to take home 3rd place.
If you want to check out what the Humphries shoot is all about here is the link:

Special thanks to Maggie and Chris with Elite along with Tim at Goldtip and of course Brian Cook with Humphries Archery.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
