I Dropped out with 18 targets left. The snow/water got under the tape on my sight tape and smeared the ink. It was still usable, then it just peeled itself off after the first 8 targets and I was pretty much screwed. I was able to shoot ten targets and not score too bad, then we stopped at the fire to get warm and I forgot where I estimated the marks were and missed the next two then came up to the next target and my stake that I had to shoot from was in a little ditch and I wasn't tall enough to see the animal, all I could see was half the head and antlers, and got frustrated and dropped..... It sucked bad uhg..
Maybee i heard one of your cables was about to give way, Good to hear you made it through with no problems! Who ended up winning our class?
Heres a pic of me helping my buddie Mary carry all her stuff back to the truck, it will help people understand how hard it actually snowed!

I didnt do to bad. I thought I was doing bad until I looked at the score board. there were 10 targets that were all covered with snow. couldnt even see the score rings. shot a few eights and a 5 because of it. but im in it for the over all awards and couldnt quit. my sons girl friend quit. my wife the little trooper stuck by my side all the way.(she looked like a drowned rat) cant wait for the second leg and some west side weather. I left and didnt see all the scores. I will check in a couple days on there web site.

If your wife stuck by your side through the whole shoot with that ugly weather then you have already won the best thing a man could ever have!:strong:

Glad to hear you're coming. It should be a good shoot and the weather sounds like it will be OK. At least the weather will be better than in Spokane. It couldn't have been a whole lot worse with the pictures I saw and the people I talked with. We will be starting to set targets tomorrow. If you have an RV, we have lots of room. And our concessions will be open Saturday and Sunday from about 7-10 for breakfast and serving lunch from about 11 until about 3. We also have a steak dinner on Saturday night for those interested (RSVP at the registration booth, limited dinners available. So when we are sold out, that's it). Have a safe trip and see you there!

Im sure thinking about it. Its all set up and ready. Might not be fair for the others though.:haha:
The only thing is Im still not sure about Back tension with the extreme angles. they have some straight up and down hills there. and the GTO must of seen the XXL on the hanger. Its shooting better than ever.:)
