Bringing my new 2011 home, either pulse or hunter tomorrow. In the past as soon as i got a new bow i would get my string and cable order in for a custom set.
How are you guys finding the strings on these new 2011's, any need for a custom purchase?

I have been really happy with the strings I usually do the same as you. I shoot in the string then take it off as an emergency backup. But I think I am just going to stay with the factory string this time. I am as you probably are very picky about my strings.

I would highly suggest Carter's Archery Cracker strings! Mike just set my new
Hunter up with his string and it is shooting 312 fps. I also had him put his string on my Z7 and was extremely pleased with it as well! Best money I ever spent on either bow!

I really like my 2001 stock string...

They are much better than my Mathews strings.

My hunter string holding up great, settled fast and has held tight. When I get time I may build a set and put on it, but as of now I am in no hurry.

The strings on the 2010 and 2011 bows are super , theres no need for custom strings when the ones Elite puts on their bows are as good as custom . Hard to beat . :woohoo: At least no problems with either of mine . Welcome all you guys to the forum .

The strings that have come on the Elite's the last two years have been top notch factory strings. They don't have to been changed until you wear them out. I must say that as an aftermarket addition Mike has made the best strings I've seen in person. The serving is so good they look like the were heat shrinked on.
