One of the guys I found in the forums was made an offer but it didn't pan out. We are still looking! Here is the original post I put. If you are interested, PLEASE PM me. Or, if you know someone.

My company has been hired out by Bear Archery to find 2 bow design engineers. It is a great opportunity for the right person. If you or anyone you know has a background in engineering and loves bow-hunting, then please PM me and I can send you more information. It pays a base of $80K + 10-20% bonus. It is in Evansville, IN

If I can do the job remotely from California, I would be interested.

I've seen some incredibly sleazy tricks pulled by recruiters in my life, but posting company A's job opening on a competitor's customer board sets a new low. Just reaffirms why in some species mothers eat their young.

Maybe they like the quality of people here on EAF....but I kinda thought the same thing.

Is it morally wrong to engineer for Bear, but shoot an Elite? :D

Unfortunately, it's the way of the world.

I'm an engineer, and unfortunately... we're a dime a dozen right now. Still, if you want to hire talent, I think the forums are a great place to go looking. I get calls at work from recruiters trying to hire me for competitors. Interesting business :)

I think what happened was the company hired Chip, and then they discovered that he's only 1/5 the engineer they thought he was. They discovered this by reading all posts over on AT. They then decided to outsources his position to India.

I have posted on pretty much every archery forum out there. I'm not really caring about "competitor's boards" right now... as someone mentioned, there are great people on these boards and I don't care if they are currently with another bow maker or they just shoot something other than a Bear... the opportunity to design nows and bow products is a dream job for some, and if you have the qualifications, I can get you in the mix. I will send a job spec to anyone who is interested.

Also, if you or someone you know is an engineer/designer and does not necessarily design bows, but works with sporting goods items (guns, reels, etc...) really anything with moving parts and are passionate about bows and bowhunting, I would still urge you to PM me. Thanks!
