I got my SS in yesterday and had some time to work with it. The camo finish is excellent and the weights are very nice looking. However, the end cap at the base of the bar had gaps around it. The stabilizer does a good job of steadying the bow, but by putting this on my bow the stabilizer actually adds a significant amount of vibration. I have put a Sims deresonator and a Max Jack to no avail. I believe that this vibration is caused by the fact that the weight for the SS is not thread and simply floats on the screw that connects to the stabilizer. I will attempt to add some form of damping device to the weight this afternoon. As of now I would go with a B-Stinger. Reason 1) weight is threaded 2) higher quality bar. These are just my opinons that were requested on a previous thread upon the arrival of my Smooth Stability.

Hmmm...I received a SS the Monday after Christmas and was instantly impressed with it. It did a noticably good job of steadying my pin while doing at least as good as my old stab with dampening. Certainly no added vibes.

Maybe you help me out then. Is there anything special you did and does your weight still turn after tighting it down.

My weight tightened down with no tools, just spinning it on by hand. I thought I would have to use an allen but did not. I am thinking if you call them they will help you out, even if they need to replace something. The weight definitly should not be just "floating".

the weight should not float on the end, it should be tight. I have one and really like it. contact them, something is not right

Hard to argue with this kind of outstanding service. My guess is you'll like the next one as much as everyone else seems to. Good luck.

I have the 12" one and like said already I just spun mine on by hand because I have to take it off to fit in a case and it is rock solid. I love mine so far as well but I think I would like to order an 8" tube for hunting.

I didn't know there was such a thing for the ss. I don't see anything on there website. Even having to take it off is not that big of a deal it has settled my pins enough to make it worth it.
