Does anyone shoot either of these sights? I'm looking around at different sights and I wanted to see what people thought of them.

I've used the XR for about a year now and just replaced it a week ago. When I first saw it I thought 'WOW! Finally the perfect sight for me' since I enjoy shooting longer distances. So first off, its cosmetically appealing which is always a good thing. Secondly once you get it dialed in and if you live in fairly stable weather conditions, you're probably fine. thats about it for pro's. Now for the cons: the pins are not very bright, so you'll have to buy a light, microadjust windage and elevation is 'ok' but it doesn't even compare to the click adjustments on the armortechs, and I truely hate the "microadjustable" pins. You have to loosen a screw and then the pin flops everywhere so its got like 2 mm of movement while youre trying to "microadjust" the pin. very sloppy and a pain in the ***.
Now for the floating pin. I live in Ontario and our weather is pretty far from stable, last week it was like -16C and the next day was like +4C. I go to shoot my bow and after 5 shots I hear the familiar buzz of the loose pin. I will say it only came loose about 6 or 7 times since ive had it, but thats enough for me to not trust it.
I just bought an armortech pro hd and all I can say is WOW! best sight I have ever seen and the nicest microadjustments ive ever used. extremely impressed and will be buying another one for the Pulse im putting on order.

I have to agree with T-MAN, the Armortech Pro HD is a fantastic sight.
In fact, this was a three day decision with my Elite Pro Shop (pro) -- :chair:-- because I wanted to use the Tight Spot Quiver, I went with the Black Gold - Ascent Sight, for ease of installation. (thx Shane)
IMO -- You'd be hard pressed to find two high quality replacement sights like the Armortech Pro HD and the Black Gold - Ascent.
