I bough many things in USA for my hobby (archery, bike...), I had a little John Deer for my garten and my old car was a Chrysler.
Well, as European, I ever though that the US product have some interesting quality...
Now I see often on the catalog or on the box (sight, rest, clothes...) "MADE IN USA", or "PROUD to be MADE IN USA", whit the eagle ... but behin there is, little, "Made in China"...
Even if I search product of famous brand.
Oh,I Know, "delocation", "globalization"... rules are for business (pacagin in USA= Made in USA). The same by us, of course.
Hmmm... cheap (not soo much) but really not the "old" quality!
PS: sorry for my english

In the US it is against the law to rebrand a product and say it was made in the US if it was made in China (or any other country for that matter). Your English is much better than any of my second languages.

yep that might be the law - but in Mountainbikes I have heard of manufacturers who get their frames buillt in China or Taiwan but as they paint assemble and finish them off in the US the "Value add" they put to the bare unpainted frame made OS means that they can badge them as Made in USA - I had a Marin that was promoted as made in the US but the frame had a made in Taiwan sticker on it.

My Specialized (mountainbike) has a sticker whit: "Designed in California, made in Taiwan".
My road bike, Cannondale, has a sticker whit US flag and "Made in USA".
It was more expensive.
Many (expensive) caps of bow brand are made in China, like x% of handphones, tv and and... (production cost of 1 handphone: 5-8 $..., what we pay on store and what is his lasting time?)
I don't be desappointed ebout chinese workers but:
- what ebout jobs in USA and Europe?
- what ebout the "know out" of many professions?
- environment damages (different law) ... I've been in Shangai haven:brown water for miles.
- At the end, when I bough a sight, I wish affordability, precision for long time!

I agree whit You, Hutco.
Maybe the consumer should think: "Real" Made in USA, (or in Germany, or in Switzerland) high price, best quality.
"Half and half" (Asian prod. for ex.): cheaper but mid quality.
But the information (from dealers) must be clear.

I agree too. Here in France we're also looking for saving our job, prefring buying products made in Europe, in the USA or in Japan. But it's more and more difficult to know where products are made.
For example, I saw once a product with the mention : "Made in PRC" as I speak english, I understood that it meens people republic of China, but for a lot of people in non speaking english country it's like hiding the origin of the product.
All the politics say they make efforts to save our jobs but they always kiss chinese's :censored2:. The best defense is still the customer choice.
My equipment come from the USA, France and Italy and I'm proud to shoot with. :)

ever notice that nothing is made in Canada? There is a reason for it.
Canada produces the best whiskey. How can you say that nothing is made there???

To remain in archery, Canadian should be proud of the APA bows (made in Canada)... they look as good products.
I don't know if there is more diffusion in USA.
Whisky? Must "study" quality and difference between bourbon (US or canadian), scotch and irish whisky. (nice job...).

Just go to show the state of this country . Send our boys and girls to go all over the world to fight and die for freedom , but lets buy everything from a communist country and make them rich . Makes sense to me . :weird:

The Chinese cannot handle all the work we are giving them, (taking away the USA jobs). They are now passing out work to Korea. So we loose our jobs to the Chinese, who in turn pass it to Korea, to manufactur item. When the Koreans are finished they send it to China, and China then sends it to us. Anybody see any problems here! The latest is the 1st Lady asking congress to give amnesty to illegals here in the US.
