This is the second in two weeks of owning my first Elite. Took this pig Saturday evening, roughly 125 lb boar hog.

South Central Fl, just east of the north end of Lake Okeechobee. We go nearly every weekend. It is not uncommon to take two to three a weekend. It keeps the skills honed for deer season.

They are not new as bad as people make them out to be. In my younger (and dumber) days we used to hunt them with dogs and knives. You don't see much of that any more but it was fun when no one got hurt.
I have had wounded ones charge me but it is easy enough to step out of the way of a charging hog.

nice hog had a few close calls myself with the tusky porkers when your on the cliffs and theres only one trail and both you and the hog are on it. Thats a fun one, ever try that one? When I was in New Zealand they hunted pigs with dogs, didn't shoot one as the bulldog and pitbull both had hold of an ear and the pig was just standing there. The ol spot and stalk is much more fun to me.keep wacking them pigs!!

Occasionally you would have a knothead that would get out of control. A pig is a pretty quick animal. I could see where a wounded one could be a handful.

Try running into wounded pig on your hands and knees crawling through the palmettos following a blood trail.
Can get pretty exciting!

Congrats.

That hunting sounds like a blast. I really need to try it some time.

There is no season or limits on hogs on private property in Florida. We will have busy weekends where it is not uncommon to shoot four or five each. I am usually good for roughly a hundred a year.
Depends on where in Bonita Springs. There are still areas where they have them in their back yards. Our lease is thirty minutes from downtown West Palm Beach.
