check out the ripcord has some great features like the containment arm and internal dampners for quiet shooting. This rest also locks in the up position or can be shot like a regular fall away rest. Great for hunting, use in your treestand or while stalking!! without worry of your arrow ever falling off.

I love the Trophy Taker however I found that on my Envy it was costing me too much letoff even when I had the rest timed to be full upright at the last 5/8" draw or so. I tried the QAD Ultra and found it to work well without impacting my letoff or cam timing much. That's because it doesn't require much tension to pull from cocked to full upright (approx).

The three I like the best are...
QAD LD
Limbdriver
Dropzone

QAD HD by far the best on the market. Gotta check em out.
If anyone is interedted I have a brand new ripcord to trade for a QAD LD or HD. If anyone is interested let me know. Thanks Doug
I've used a Drop Zone for a couple of years with no problems, but wanting full containment I put a Kazaway on my GTO and it works great.

I like the QAD HD, the full containment is nice, and I have no problems shooting blazers out of it
Limbdriver...I'm impressed enough that I'll be buying one for the rest
of my bows.

Limbdriver for me. Easy set up and no let off issues.

I've had great results w/ a QAD LD. I will try a Limdriver on my GTO when it arrives.

What in the hecks the difference between the Pro HD and the Pro LD? and then of course theres the QAD Ultra Drop Away Pro Rest?
I can't really tell what the difference is from reading the descriptions I can find. Have any idea?

+1...so far that is my favorite rest for hunting. It ties right into the cable slide so there is no tension on the down cable. It also has full arrow containment.

i'm not an expert on all the models, but i believe the primary diff between ld and hd is that the hd has harmonic dampening. the ultra drop away versions are the less costly versions and i'm guessing don't have lock down capability???...and then there are some camo options to choose from on the higher end models. i have the black pro hd.

I went to the Vital Gear website and watched the video on this rest. They just about turned that bow upside down and the arrow never fell out. It looked like though that they were hooked to the cable, not the cable guard slide. Did they change that to hook to the cable slide recently? If so does the 2007 model have this feature? Any idea?
just trying to clarify what I saw to what your saying.
thanks

For hunting I prefer the limbdriver. I like the way it works and when you have to let down it is more controlled.

The limb driver is the best I have tried. I have not had problems my arrow on the rest. I do not like the containment rest.

You can actually tie it into either the slide or the down cable. I prefer the slide. They also provide a slide so you can tie right into it. I have used them since last year and like them alot. The 2007 model has the cable slide that comes with it.
