It's very obvious that they have issues with Elite Archery....moving threads around....locking others down for nonsense reasons....a common thread is "here's my question", and several nice replies are posted. Some fanboy or brandtard, comes along throws dirt, and without dealing with the crap flinging monkey, the thread is now locked down DefCon 1 with this... "This thread is closed - Here's Our Official Stance With Elite - Admin."

I'm sorry, it gets old. Everyone who spends time over there, already knows the management's loyalities. Just look at all the advertising. Gotta keep the money flowing. It's just going to be that way, I guess...

You know, I just don't get this. I have been away from archery for many years and decided to get back into it this spring. I did an internet search, and found a neat forum called "Archery Talk" with the slogan of archers helping archers... pretty cool huh! I do a little research, learn a few things about the changes in archery over the years, bought a bow and some accessories, and even posted a little bit. I bought a Hoyt Vectrix XL and was very happy with it, even had a Hoyt avatar, and wouldn't you know it, never had any problems from anyone on AT. Pretty good so far.

Let's jump forward a little bit in time.... I hear about this new bow company called Elite, so I did my research again, and read a lot of negative things, not so much about the bow, but about this guy named Kevin. Well, to save some time, I thought to myself, with this much bitching and apparent bad blood about this Kevin guy, this most be a good piece of equipment, or these guys wouldn't spend so much time slamming this company. I picked up an Envy and shot it, then shot my Hoyt.... wow, these guys are right!, if I was threatened by competition, I guess I would react the same way, and try to divert folks from trying one!

Now here we are a couple of months down the road, and the threat has increased. I guess it is ok to have 96 threads about Matthews new releases in the Gen Pop section, or others such as Martin, Hoyt ( and I believe they all make fine products)... what ever, but let a few guys post about something they are excited about (Elite) and is a good product at the top end of the speed charts (and you know speed sells) and threads get moved, deleted locked down, or what ever.... now we get to the good part, and for the record, I hope I don't get banned from the Elite Forum for this, and could care less if I get banned from AT (screen name Michael396). It takes alot to get me to short circuit but here goes.

There are a few (not all) people that need an attitude adjustment, therapy, or whatever. Kevin may have pissed in your Wheeties, but get over it! I have never seen some much drama from adults in one place, ever. This kind of behavior from members and mods needs to stop, it is bullshit and everyone knows it. The bowtech (notice I don't call them blowies or blowtech) fanboy **** needs to stop and the bashing of ALL manufacturers needs to come to an end! All you are accomplishing by doing this bull ****, is pissing off the people that love their Elite bows. I say anyone participating in this bahavior is a comunist at best, that's right, Commie! There is more freedom for some than others. You should be ashamed at the fact there are soldiers defending your right to act like a three year old jackass, that had his feelings hurt. Leave the threads alone, and there won't be so many of them. If you have an issue with anything I have said, my phone number is available, just shoot me a PM.

Michael...you have just gained the respect of many with that post. You are not the only one who see's the truth but many people won't speak out for fear of getting banned and let's face it we were all on AT before Elite was generous enough to start their own forum and that was our main outlet. There are alot of the M4L'ers that get to post whatever they want without fear of reprimand because they are backed by the mods and admin so its definetly lopsided. All you guys have to know on this subject is the answer i got to my simple question as to why the first threads were moved or locked in the first place.No one has touched the question except for some goof called one bow tie.I directed it to all the mods twice and you guessed it no response at all.This is America and most people with some authority will use it to their advantage like it or not.The bashing of Elite on A.T. is the exact reason i bought my first Synergy.Anything worth spending so much time bashing must really be a threat to these other companies.And it seems that all that shoot an Elite fall in love so maybe the bashing is justified to try and cut their loses.Elite will grow leaps and bounds in the next few years and their new piece of the pie will come from some one elses pan.So don't expect it to get better.

Michael, I think your frustration is misplaced. AT is an open forum for all, it is moderated with the least amount of interference as possible.
Often time a civil discussion takes a turn for the worst, we as Moderators are not there to read and approve every post, if a thread starts becoming more work than the benefit of it's content it will be closed or removed.

I promise ya, there are no "remove Elite posts" orders coming from above. What you see is the ebb and flow of any message board. The Elite threads are no different than Mathews or Bowtech, or Hoyt or even Martin. What is posted is posted, if it is a "my Bowtech limb blew up", it is there same for "my Martin riser broke". Some days there are 5-6 Mathews, Bowtech, Hoyt... threads posted asking questions, they are not removed. The questions get answered and the thread fades away.

If there appears to be a influx of the same (brand X) threads, they will be moved to the manufacturing section as they are considered manufactures press releases (or spam).
AT is not a Martin site, but it is owned by the Terry Martin, the owner of Martin archery, I doubt you will find another forum on the web that allows as much content as AT does as far as bow brands and the abuse that Martin often receives.

And the point is they would not be viewed as spam if there was now would they.For whatever reason the first few GTO threads got moved with no explanation and that is what started this pissing match.How many threads have been on the first page concerning the new Bowtech and Mathews bows for 08 and none have been refered to as spam.You guys can try to smooth it over all you want but the facts are sponsors have more freedom and some get a free pass daily.What is the real beef with Elite on A.T.?There is an underlying current when Elite is talked about and surely some of you mods can see this.

But if you read the beginning of this thread, we didn't really start "spamming", until we noticed a few attempts at threads, beginning to disappear. Everything was innocent up to that point. Afterwards, well that was different.

I have seen other brand new model threads go unmoved to the Manufacturers section. Why does this kind of landslide have to happen with us??

After reading my post, it sounds as if I was being a smartass when I welcomed you. I was sincere in welcoming you.

Now to touch on some of the other issues. I never brought up anything about Martin, mentioned them as well as others, but in no way affiliate this problem as Martin agenda. I also stated my opinions not directed at all members or mods, but I feel there are some issues that need to be let go of, and some people need to grow up. I will mention ONE that offended me personally, even though it was not a personal attack. I am not, and I repeat NOT a bowtech reject, nor do I feel anyone who shoots any bow, Elite, Martin whatever, is a reject, and that should not be tolerated!

No one is spamming, they are just annoyed at the fact that every Elite thread started has been moved. Look at it through unbiased eyes as I do, and tell me this is the right thing to do. If every post was not moved you would not have seen so many of them. AT is a good site, but like all public forums, there are a few people that are just out of control, and it makes it bad for some of us that actually take others feelings into consideration. I agree with you on the Martin heat, they do get it too, but there are paid Martin reps that step in and take care of the issue, which is good customer service I might add, but allow the members to have the same privilidge of pride as others are allowed. NONE of the Elite members, to my knowledge, are paid to post. I do disagree with the statement of "influx of brand X threads", for a few days every other thread seemed to be a Matthews thread, but did you see one post from me? No way, if I don't have anything constructive to add, I will stay out of it.

After reading my post, it sounds as if I was being a smartass when I welcomed you. I was sincere in welcoming you.

Now to touch on some of the other issues. I never brought up anything about Martin, mentioned them as well as others, but in no way affiliate this problem as Martin agenda. I also stated my opinions not directed at all members or mods, but I feel there are some issues that need to be let go of, and some people need to grow up. I will mention ONE that offended me personally, even though it was not a personal attack. I am not, and I repeat NOT a bowtech reject, nor do I feel anyone who shoots any bow, Elite, Martin whatever, is a reject, and that should not be tolerated!

No one is spamming, they are just annoyed at the fact that every Elite thread started has been moved. Look at it through unbiased eyes as I do, and tell me this is the right thing to do. If every post was not moved you would not have seen so many of them. AT is a good site, but like all public forums, there are a few people that are just out of control, and it makes it bad for some of us that actually take others feelings into consideration. I agree with you on the Martin heat, they do get it too, but there are paid Martin reps that step in and take care of the issue, which is good customer service I might add, but allow the members to have the same privilidge of pride as others are allowed. NONE of the Elite members, to my knowledge, are paid to post. I do disagree with the statement of "influx of brand X threads", for a few days every other thread seemed to be a Matthews thread, but did you see one post from me? No way, if I don't have anything constructive to add, I will stay out of it.

We would not have reacted, if the three or four threads that were orginally active, were just left alone. No they got moved. Shortly thereafter, shutdown.

And I have no alliegences to any company. I have no agenda against any company. I have not sent any company a hate letter. It is just very obvious that there is an underlying bias.

Christina here, got her poll thread removed. And she was very civil. She wasn't posting GTO specs or pics. Just asking which of the 2008 bows was most desirable.

The umpteen trillion Martin, PSE, Bowtech, Mathews threads stay unmolested.

I'm going to break my steadfast rule of never commenting about AT matters on other forums...but this is the one and only time I will ever allow myself to be drawn in.....

There were eight different Elite threads in GenPop on AT this afternoon when I checked in. And there was this thread on the Elite forum. This thread clearly encourages the spamming of Elite on AT.

Now maybe my timing is off...and maybe some AT threads had already been moved or combined...I don't know or care.

But truth be told, Elite has benefitted enormously from exposure on AT. Yes, there is a storied past and we all need to move on. But the past cannot be ignored.

I wish Elite the best. I wish the new owners the best. I wish Kevin and Kate the best. I like the new Elite forum, and hope to have a ton of fun here.

Now then...if you all want to keep the conflict going....just keep trashing AT over here. It's your call.

I like your Gentleman remark.The first thread was moved so how could the page have been filling up with GTO threads?Bellows i have no beef with you personally i just think that anyone looking at this without biased can see there is a problem when Elite threads pop up.I doubt us arguing will change a thing so i am done.

If AT was on a seek and destroy mission, there would be no reason to leave them anywhere on AT. They could filter out the word Elite and never have to worry about it again, **** they could ban all of the elite owners and still get by. That is not what is happening here, look for yourself the (08) threads in Manu.

Bowtech took tons of heat on AT, they survived and are thriving, I'm sure Elite will as well. Their new line up is what will make or break them, not anything that is posted or not on a web forum.

I agree, it should be dropped, but I don't think all of the Elite guys are trashing AT. I didn't role everyone on AT into a ball, and would appriciate the same respect.

I hope you do have a good time here! That is what Archery is about!

There was a time though in the last few months where JC was deleting every thread about Elite on AT. While not everyone who mods or admins the forum acts in this manner there is at least one with contempt. I have been on AT for over two years and although I disagree with plenty of posters I am not a basher of products because I care more about people getting involved with archery than the bow they shoot. The chain of events that unfolded today were unfortunate but I agree with most that saw what happened and the spamming as you call it ocurred because the first and only post was moved almost immediately from the general archery forum.

I just read through all the posts on this issue & no I did not go over to AT to see what is being said there, I have no need to do so. Why? Maybe it is because I am new to archery & from that perspective I can recognize that the brand of bow that someone shoots is like encountering the Chevy - Ford debate with a big dose of pride added into the mix. One thing I know from experience, is that there will always be people trying to get in your way for whatever reason, especially when you are content & will want to push your buttons. As far as I'm concerned, I believe the real issue of what archery is all about has been lost, because of pride. It's time for us to restore the high standards & be an example for the sake of the young ones. I want my 8 year old son to see archery as an Elite sport, where people of all bow brands can get together & have a great time. I have chosen Elite for the bow of my choice & I have no reason to defend it. If someone chooses another brand that suits them then, cool! There are plenty of wonderful bows out there to fit everyones liking. I am confident in my choice & this is one heck of a forum we have here & no one will be able to push that button, because I want to be an example for my son, as a humble father & respectable archer. Also, for the friendships that we are developing here......

Very well expressed thoughts. I like you am trying to instill the very same respect for the sport we love to my son and so far I think its working. He has a Genesis bow (Mathews) and could care less who made it. He's just happy to have a bow. Only problem I see with him is that he shoots lefty...J/K I am extremely pleased that he enjoys the outdoors and the time I spend with him there is priceless.

Boy, what a thread. First off I would like to say welcome to RecordKeeper and Bellows1 to our forum. I have seen RecordKeeper on AT but don’t recall Bellows1.

Just my 2 cents worth - I realized awhile ago why they kept moving some of the Elite threads to Manufacturers Announcements and that was because we were introducing a new product. We as management have never asked our supporters to start those threads. As far as threads being deleted – we have been too busy here to even worry about that. We do appreciate the exposure that we did and do have on AT though.

The competition between companies can be a good thing for the consumer. It makes each one strive to come up with a better product and look for ways to improve on customer service.

To all of our supporters over the past year – We just want to say “Thank You.” It has not gone unnoticed here at Elite Archery.

As far as the “Martin and Bowtech Guys” – you are welcomed here.

I think the mods on AT do a pretty good job and I haven't noticed a conspriacy against Elite but, of course, I'm not looking for one either. Sure they give the M4L'ers a little slack but then again it is Martin's forum. There were a ton of HCA Iron Mace threads a few weeks back that they consolidated down so I take RK and Bellows at their word.

Regardless of what happens on AT, Elite will do fine and will certainly grow as long as they keep cranking out the type of bows they have in their first 2 - 3 years in existence. I own an Envy and a Synergy XT. They are the best shooting, easy to tune and highest quality of fit and finish I have ever seen on a bow (and I've owned a lot). For a new bow company, they have a better feel for giving archers what they want than some of the manufacturers that have been around longer.
