Buddy bought an octane rest the other day and doesn't like the smaller launch arm so he contacts octane and they said that he would have to order it through his dealer. They just didn't seem to concern with any of there customers.
I bought a g5 expert pro II drop away rest and contacted G5 about the launcher starting to show mark and they said no problem and sent me a launcher. Didn't even ask what was going on. They just have great customer service unlike octane. Has anybody else had trouble with octane or is just us??

Octane is Bowtech isn't it? Savage/Bowtech I think is your answer.

I have had nothing but issues when trying to contact them. Best of luck.

Bowtech supports their dealers, I guess there is nothing wrong with that but when you need a a small part sending one out can go a long way when it comes to customer relations. I once needed different nuts for the cam stops on my Allegiance and they did send them to me when I explained the dealer was 100 mi. away.

Sometimes the dealer can be the problem, when I bought the new modules for my bow the dealer should have known I needed the new nuts and provided them.
Another time I needed replacement limbs and couldn't talk them into sending them to me direct. I had to go to a dealer and pay them $15 to take them off and $10 to get them to ship them to me once Bowtech replaced them. They took the string and cables off and put all parts in a bag but didn't pin or tie the ends up to keep them from untwisting so when I finally did get the limbs and put them on I had to retune everything.

This dealer is also my closest Elite dealer and I don't go there any more.

I picked up at Octane rest on E-bay. There wasn't a shelf pad included. I tried to contact Octane via an e-mail and got no response. I went to the local Gander Mountain and talked to the store sales people. They called Octane and put their sales rep on the phone with me. I explained what was going on and what I needed. Hes was very understanding and told me they were having trouble with their E-mail system flagging E-mails as spam. He had me put the store rep on the line and had the store rep give me what I needed and then sent the store the parts. I think this is good customer service. So far the rest has worked flawlessly. Very easy to setup and tune. Sorry you had so much trouble. All big companies are the same. Not every Customer service rep or salesman are alike.
