View Full Version : What new Elite would you want?

Michael
11-18-2007, 10:23 PM
If you were getting a 2008 Elite, what would you get and how would you set it up?

I will go first.

1. Synergy XT/29" DL/60# DW/ AT edition with fall camo.

2. GTO/same specs/same colors

The GTO is second because, I am not sure what the specs are.

I am getting a new one I have an XT on order 29/60 G2 camo (is it G2 or G1?) I am very interested in what the GTO will do and the XL for that matter. If the XL is a winner my Energy might have to go but only time will tell.

So now there's a synergy ST

OOPS!!!

It is corrected now. Sorry.

I already have a Synergy Extreme XL on order. It will come with 28.5 draw mod so I can tweak the DL to 29.25. It will be in G1 camo and I'll shoot it at 65lbs unless its so smooth drawing that I may have to set it at 70lbs.

I may get a GTO as well with 60lb limbs but not sure yet. I have debated if I get one whether to get it in AT with black limbs for the Ninja look or to get it in G1 also. First though I want to see how it looks and what the specs are. I already like the idea that's it 4-5 fps faster than the Envy and that's at 80% letoff.

I would only get the GTO, depending on what it is exactly once it is released.

I know the XT is suppose to be an upgrade from my 2007 Synergy, but I love my bow.

Just not ready to change for something that is similar.

I was thinking a while back about the perfect bow that I would design for me. It would be 36-37 inch ATA, 8 inch brace, Binary cams with draw stop, and Barnsdale limbs. Sounds a lot like the Extreme XL!! :D:D:D:D

The older I get....60lbs seems like it will be the ticket! With the performance you can get out of an Elite I think that would do the average bowhunter/3D shooter.

Save your pennies now! There are so many AT members that buy a bow only to sell it two months later when it is not very accurate! Never mind the fact that they suck at archery! Set your sights in next summer and do some cheey picking from AT!!

I am so excited for you and am enjoying your enthusiasm. It is hard to decribe the inner feeling you get while bowhunting where you have to get real close to the game. You will feel that too. Enjoy the ride because once you take the path you may never turn back. You also couldn't have decided to pick a better bow/company for your first one. Welcome to bowhunting:cool:

That is the great thing about archery, you don't have to be a teen to start. 45 is still very young. You should look into motocross, the "old guys" class starts at 25.

Ive got an extreme XT (left) on order, 29-70. Now I'm thinking the GTO, 29-60. I'm 52, and although the 70 feels fine when the weather is mild, and the body is warm. Maybe on those cold days, the 60 would be easier.
