I just bought a gt5oo from a guy on archerytalk and I have some questions. I hope someone will guide me in the right direction.
first
centershot- is it set just like anyother bow, off of the string and down the arrow with a laser? thats how I have it, and it looks like I will have clearence issues with my vanes on the cables.
second
vanes- should I shoot them cock feather out? that appears to gie me the most clearence. I am using blazers, but have some fobs, and dura vanes.
third
limb bolts- how many turns out should I go to relax the limbs enough to use a press and not hurt them. I know on some its five turns. on this bow I cant see the end of the bolt to guage how much farther I can go.
fourth
arrow rest placement-I am using a ripcord and have the arrow just about half an arrow above the berger holes so the rest will drop all the way down. Is this correct, and is this the best rest to use on this bow?:beer1:
Any help and advise will be greatly apprciated. I am just learning to tune and set bows up myself and have learned alot from here and hope to with this new bow.
thanks
