Archery related.

I plan to shoot less tournaments and hunt more next year. Stay with the local stuff and use less vacation days.

Colorado bear hunt in the plans.

It's sorta archery related but since I'll be 55 in March and still carrying a spare tire around the waistline I plan on walking everyday and working out every other day on my bowflex to get in better shape. Those hunts in Colorado the last three years have put a beating on my fanny and I would just rather be in better shape. Also I can still draw 70lbs quite comfortably but I'm starting to feel it more than I did just a year ago so I plan on building up my upper body strength and especially work on my back muscles. Easier said than done but that is my plan. L-train has been killing me!!! LOLOL

Shoot at more of a variety of shops, get my stands re-located and food plots looking a little better, all this is going to help with me losing 40lbs LOL!!

Plan on doing better this year on the 3d tour. Only making the stage once in 4 pro/ams just don't cut it. I too plan on doing a little more hunting next year, maybe trying some new places and getting out of the state at least once to hunt somewhere. All of this of course with a Elite bow in my hand.:luck:

I plan on hanging out with my friends more, missed them this past year (of Change)

did i mention i got some great friends!! ( and 75% off them hang out here!)

this past year side tracked me and the wife from archery, the coming year i plan to get back indoors and 3D--- looking for a lease before i forget how to really hunt.
In my older years I truly want more campfires at the lease with good friends.

also i would like to get serious about my three trophy's---- black buck, prong horn and Elk.
of course with a bow

I want to spend more time working on form and fixing this darn target panic issue.
It would be great to have a lease somewhere (NW MO/SE KS) where I could hang out with friends and chase big deer and turkeys.

So,
1) shoot better
2) find a lease
3) find new friends to hunt with

I'm with Jeff, I need to lose a little of the extra weight I have put on. My hip quiver belt is getting too tight and my camo pants are a little snug so it is definitely archery related. :jaw:

Hunt and have fun with archery I don't want to have archery become a bad job I had those already. Make my business number 1 in what it does and take time off with family and friends to sit around those camp fires. Life is to dam short not to have a good time.....

Coach just showed me how to properly perform a back-tension shot. So, for 2010, I am going to concentrate on execution of a proper BT release.

Quit smoking last year 12/11 after doing it for 25 yrs. started a little earlier than New Years. Made it a year!:) I will never go back to it. Now I've got some weight to lose so that is numero uno. I am looking forward to running up and down these mountains as a nonsmoker now that I am back in Arizona. I also want to get more serious shooting and learning to bow tune this year. Got to get in better shape in case 10 pt., Wassaw, Rattler or any of the other Texas boys come out this way hunting so I can put them on some good critters....lol! I am sure I am going to owe a bunch of folks this year with all the questions that will be coming!

I have that book, its great. What was key for me the other day (when I was with Coach Mike) was my thumb position on my Stanislawski. Instead of wrapping it around the trigger, I need to rest it on the handle. That way, when I begin to tighten the scapula, the back motion sets the release off instead of me flexing my thumb muscle to cause the release to fire.

More 3Dshooting, longer distance practice, more walking to coninue with weight loss, work on strenghtening upper body also.... hopefully get my son shooting a bow again and more tolerance and less cursing. Last two not archery related but important to me.

Ride the Seattle to Portland bike ride in one day and run a 1/2 marathon and drop 30lbs in the process.

These are archery related because when hunting season gets here I will be able to chase them Elk up the mountain and down the other side :beer1:

Me too! I still miss the courage to write down the plan it suggests on the last pages.
Consider posting it on the thread "Tips ...".

Getting my Judge on time for the FITA outdoor season and seeing if I can make it a substitute of the GT500 (the speed vs accuracy bug, you know!)
