My arrows are Carbon Tech XT's 40/65 GPI=7.9 28" with Blazers and a 100 grain head. I was told by a reliable source that their reliable scale had these arrows weighing in at 392 grains. My draw is 27.5 and my poundage is 62
How come nobodys arrows weigh near as much as mine? Seems like everybody is pulling more weight, longer draw and are doing it with much lighter arrows---how could this be? Mine are the correct spine so I am not understanding all these bantam weight arrows I keep seeing people post that they use.

That does seem like a heavy arrow wich is not a bad thing but if you are looking for speed then well...Allot of arrow manufacturers use heavier components that might be your problem find out how much your inserts weigh you might be suprised on the cx maximas they weigh 11 grns on some others they weigh26grns i use a 5 grn nock some others will weigh 19grns all the little things add up also allot of guys are using drop aways that allow them to shoot a shorter arrow which will make them even lighter. There are plenty arrows out there that will spine right for your set-up and will fit the weight tolerences that you are looking for.:coffee_n_pc:

ummm unless you have extra long wraps on these arrows and extra heavy nocks and inserts theres no way can that be right but i could be wrong i shoot gt 5570s and with nocks inserts and 7in wraps and feathers im at 372 and my arrows are 8.2 gpi

I keep seeing people posting arrows in the 330 grain range. Just curious how this could be. I'm not really trying to shoot faster as speed is 269 fps and I like a fixed blade head so I really don't want to go over 275 fps anyway. I just feel like I'm missing something cause none of this is adding up to me. My arrows per inch weigh what most arrows weigh for that spine (400 ?)----I think.
Edit: No wraps either
