I hunt in Eastern Washington. The country is mostly sagebrush and basalt rock. I thought you guys might like to see a pic of my 07 Mulie. Not a monster but a nice symetrical (sp) 4 point.

Forgot to mention. This is my first deer with my E500. Set at 64 lbs with the 500 mods and 29.5 in drawlength the E500 Elite is a hard bow to beat for hunting. I mean just how much power do you need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not much of a story to tell. We do not have to go far from home in our part of the country for great hunting and fishing. The last few years it has been pretty dry during the archery season so the use of a spotting scope and a few days to pattern the deer has been the best bet. I personally like to spot and stalk but when it is dry that can be a difficult task. Kind of like walking on potatoe chips. I watched this guy and four others in the same group for 3 days with my scope. The 4th morning all 5 of them walked past me and I double lunged my 4 point. He only went maybe 50 yds after the shot. I am going to be 60 years young in Dec.. The one thing I really noticed this year is that this one did not follow me home as easily as they did 10 years ago. Next year Envy #258 will get a chance to see what it can do.

There is a way to make them come home easier. Call me I will help.;)
Besides looking at another part of the state is a must. all are state land is being traded or sold off. here in the central part. But the offer is honorable I can keep it quiet.;)
Nice Mulie.

That's great, any mulie in my mind with a bow is awesome. Something I really want to do someday.
That is one pretty Mulie! Those are my second favorite thing to hunt. I've yet to get a buck. This was my 2nd year hunting with a bow and I've taken a doe both years, but I'd love to get a nice buck like that!

Very nice Mulie buck. I was under the impression that Washington state only had Blacktails which are related to Mule Deer. How do you tell the difference?? I wish the Desert Mulies where I hunt got as big as the one you got, that would be exciting. Congrats on your awesome deer.

There are Muleys, Blacktails and halfbreeds. Blacktails mon the west side muleys on the east and half breeds in the Cascades. Blacktails have a all black tail on the outside Muleys have a black tip on their tail. Blacktails have smaller horns.

They zone them hear for classifications. But you can tell the difference by the tail. long black stripe on the Black tail and white with a black tip for mulie's.
On the mule deer the white seems clean. dirty on the Blacktails. antlers are similar but usually larger on the mule deer.

My property is 10 miles from Iraan which is in Pecos county but I'm in Crockett. I've seen some mulies but nothing that big. Truly a trophy lonehara:cool:
