E 500 Cam Issue - Please help!

Hi All -
I have a dealer who is working with a customer who owns an E 500. Right now, we don't have the correct mods to fit the newer style K8 cams for an E 500. Does anyone know if we can put a different Elite Cam System on the E 500 without causing too many problems? This customer doesn't have a bow to shoot and right now, and I don't have a good fix for him. I've heard of people putting the Revolution Cam on an E 500, but I'll need more information.

To get the bow performing like it was designed you either have to put original K8 cams with draw specific mods on the bow or 07 Synergy K8 cams with the adjustable mods. I too have heard of putting Rev cams on this bow but the result was a loss of 10fps. If the guy just wants his bow shooting and doesn't mind the speed loss then I would send him the Rev cams.

Its my bow and the problem is still not sorted. There is currently a set of Synergy cams with 29.5" mods on ... but my draw length is 28.5" (I may also be able to get by with 29").

If at all possible I would not like to loose any perormance as I want to reduce draw weight but stay with my heavy (600gr) arrows.

Any help would be appreciated ... thanks

Synergy cams??? they have adjustable mods. i guess your asking for the 3-7# mod?

let me know, I have the lower draw length mods i can let you BORROW until they (Elite) figures out how to fix you up.

are you going to stay with the Synergy K8's or is this a temporary fix from Elite until they get more E-500 cams and mods made?

reason i ask is since your so far away and i do have something to fix you up.
i can send mine to Mags and she can get them to you and then it gives them time to reciprocate.
I'm currently using Rev cams on my synergy and to boot if bad happens i'm still a 30" DL.

It is not formal hunting season, but we can hunt certain animals throughout the year. At the moment I am after bush pig... a problem animal for the nut farmers in ourarea.

It looks like it will be a permanent switch as I understand that Elite will not be making the original K8 cams anymore.

Maybe Mags can fill us in on exactly which cams they sent over and what the current situation is and what it will be like in future ...

It is 9:57pm over here at the moment so I will only be able to get details from my local dealer tomorrow morning ...

Here is the deal. The customer (and please let me know if I have this wrong - Fever Tree) has an E-500. He needed a set of cams. To my knowledge, he had the original K8 cams, but all we have in stock are the new cams. So - we send him new K8 cams, but we don't have the mods to fit a 28.5". Not only do we not have them, but we aren't sure we have have more made right now, we are still trying to figure that out. We do have a 29.5" set of mods, but no 28.5 or 29.
I'll check with Straightarrow and see if we can get this resolved for Mr. Fever Tree. Thank you to everyone who is trying to help!

maybe i'm on the wrong K8 cam

my K8's have 2 sets of mods 1 set allows for 29.5-30" draw lengths, the second set allows for 27"-28.5" draw lengths.
second generation K8's

sounds like he needs an s-4 or ez-4 for 28.5 inches?? also those run 1/2" long so really a s-5 or ez-5 would work

Your new cams are 07 Synergy cams which take an adjustable set of mods. The draw specific mods that fit on the original K8 cams will not work on the Synergy K8 cams.
