I purchased a pair of used Vortex 8X42 Sidwinders off E-Bay in 07. I tried to take the best of care. Season opened on 10/09. I pulled them out of storage a couple of weeks ago and cleaned them up getting ready to hunt the following day. I set them on my box freezer in the garage and went in the house to pick up my tags. When I came back out(only gone 5 minutes), my dog had pulled them off the freezer. When they hit the concrete floor, they broke in half. She proceded to chew up the rubber coating. I contacted Vortex to see if they could be repaired. Vortex said to send them in and they would take care of things. Turnaround time was less than 5 days. They couldn't repair my sidwinders, so they sent me a new pair of Dimondbacks to replace them. The best Customer Service and Warranty I''ve ever seen. Great company and great product. Best investment I've made in a long time. :beer1:

I concur.

I have owned a pair of Vortex Vultures for a few years now. Well, ater a hunt a few weeks ago, they got water in them. I mailed them back to Vortex on 10/22/2008 and this morning (10/28/2009) the FedEX guy showed up, before 9:00AM with a package from Vortex.

I opened up the package.....to a brand new pair of Diamondbacks (they quit making the Vulture)!!!!

Now, that folks, is what we like to call CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

I also have dealt with Vortex ,I also have the Sidewinders , My somn and i were sitting in our 2 man ladder stand when my son was using my bino's to observe the area ,when he went to sit them down he dropped them 18 feet down to the ground also breaking them in half . I was just gonna throw them out and look to buy a new pair when i came across a thread on another forum about someone who had a similart thing happen to them and Vortext came to the forefront and sent him a new pair. I decided I would call Vortex and they were awsome ,he told me to send them in to them and if he couldn't fix them ,he would send me a new pair ,I only had to wait 2 weeks and I had my sidewinders repaired and sent back to me ,no charge for repair or no charge for them shipping them back either . I would definately give Vortex an A+++++++ I will buy them again ,if I ever have to.

Tim Austin has done wonders for Vortex. There warranty is great.

I have tested it twice. Always a good deal. Transferable just like Elite.

Never have I ever seen a Bino company do more for customers. Diffiantly everthing I want in binos. They got great rifle scopes as well.

Tell your dealers to stock them.

I've been a Vortex dealer for just one year and am still trying to grow the brand in our store, but I have been very impressed with them thus far.

We had one scope with a very small problem. They sent us a new scope and a return label to send in the old one. The best part... We received the replacement scope the within 24hrs of our phone call to inform them of the problem. These are the types of companies we need to support.

When I was looking into the Vortex line ,I spoke with them at a distributor out of Toronto ,I live about 2 hours away ,they shipped a couple different models to a store nearbye for me to look at ,that sold me right off the hop ,but the quality of the Bino is superior to many others I had looked at.

Their warranty is great, I had a pair of diamondbacks break in half just like that, They sent me a brand new pair. Pretty sweet.
If someone want optics in that mid price/quality range, vortex is hard to beat.

Just bought a new pair of Viper hd's 10x42. Not only is their warranty awesome, but for the money, I don't think you will find a better set of bino's! I can't wait to try them out in Sparta at the R100 this weekend!

I will give another nod to their customer service. I had an eye piece fall off a pair of diamonbacks and sent them in for repair. A few days later they showed up at my doorstep good as new. Great guys to deal with!
