Well I got some good luck this mornin. Got up crazy early to drive 2 hrs to my spot. Sat on a alfalfa field early no deer. Start glassing and find this guy bed with 3 does on a hill side. So i go around and stalk over the hill to 20 yrds, 2 does jump up and they all bolt to what I thought was 60 yrd no time to range, MISS, dam. Let em settle and stalk em again, winded, pull out for a couple hrs and try again, this buck simply fallowed the does like a big lovesick dummy. Busted again as there was no cover, but they are obviously headed around a hill so I Carl Lewis it around just in time for a ranged 49 yrd double lunger, slightly 1/4ing away and man that Envy slammed that Silverflame right thru his off shoulder:D

Man that's a great mulie, that's something we easterners can't really understand. How difficult it must be stalking a deer in very little cover. To many fat guys out here, we all want to sit on stands.

Not me! I love the spot and stalk. I never hunt from a tree.

Oh yeah, I am fat though.

Here's the buck that was chasing some does this morning. My wife woke me up early and I thought that could only mean one thing...a nice buck outside.;)

I put the sneak on him when he was tearing up a bush and got within 20 yards before he spooked. He actually walked up to my truck and started raking it. I'm glad it was the "trelk" and not one of my cars that actually has nice paint on it.
