currently shooting alien X 70lbs. hunting and 08 45-60lbs slayer for target not too familiar with Elite .
Are these bows a spin off of Martin or a total different brand?
I just notice they were very similar to the Martin in some ways.
I like the look of the elite just wondering quality wise how are these bows
I just switched to Martin about a year and a half ago started with the 08 firecat but because of limb issues I then switched to the alien X and also picked up the slayer which I am very fond of. I previously shot hoyt for 25 years prior and still am up in the air about perminantely shooting martin or switching back.:scratchhead:. in any case just curious as to more infor regarding the elite
great site thanks for your reply

The quality of Elite bows is un-matched by any other includeing Martin they are totally diffrent...they shoot great once you get used to them and...with Elite you get good speeds and great KE with lighter draw weight!!

Elite Archery is a bow design & manufacturer. They are not associated with Martin nor a "spin off".

Elite's bows are very high quality bows. The materials are first-class and fit and finish is excellent.

Elite has had no limb issues. The limbs are Barnsdale limbs, regarded in the industry as some of the best made limbs today!
Do yourself a service and shoot an Elite and you'll begin to understand why they are so good. Be warned: you shoot one of these bows, good chance you'll want it, so be prepared to part with your $$$.

Or you could do what I do. Once they start complaining about bow purchases, replace them.

Alien X is diffiantly more of copy of Elite. Elite had this line of bows out before Martin. Theres no comparison from Martin to Elite. Elite a far better qaulity bow for sure.
I shot Hoyt for 17yrs. Very nice bows and the still are today.
I searched hard when looking for the right bow. Buddy had an Elite and I shot his one time and knew what an amazing bow. But at the time I shot a Mathews and did for eight years. I dont swap bows often.
I just could not get that Elite bow out of my head. So eventually I said its time to give it a shot. Now my buddy taking second in shooter of the year in semis in ASA made me think about it more.
Just go shoot an Elite. JUst go shoot one. I just tell everyone if your not convinced after shooting one than it may not be the bow for you.
I have had my Elite in the hands shooting of some very good pros. Even though they shoot other brands they all agreed it is one sweet bow.
Good Luck and you will know when you shoot the next bow you own.

Pete the owner has put that rumor to rest more than once in threads here. Elite uses Barnsdale limbs.

Loud and Clear. From Pete himself. Tell this to guys in the pro shop. Just PM Pete right here and ask.
I was just about to post a clarification. We are still using Barnsdale limbs and plan continuing that valuable relationship. Barnsdale limbs are made from Gordon Glass components. Hopefully, we will be bringing you better limbs in the future in cooperation with Dave. Dave is also committed to making the best limb out there. We often do not get to see the final version of an article, the editor has final say. This was changed possibly to represent Peterson's better. We do not pay for those articles. Let everyone know we are using Barnsdale limbs!

Elite Archery produces one of the most refined compound Bows that an Archer could have in his or her arsenal.
They are producing a product that is absolutely a joy to own and shoot. I may a be a little bias being a dealer for the Elite line. I am not the Owner of the shop, but I make the decisions on what product will make it on the sales floor based on personal experience as well as research.
I had been hearing the accolades about The Elite Bows for sometime so I decided I would see what all the Hubbub was about. So I traded a like new 09 ( highly advertised " Fasted Single cam Bow made") that I was not pleased with for a 8.5 GT 500 from a member on here by way of AT, I do believe He has since traded that Bow for another GT 500.
The Gt was the one that started it for me and now, every member of my family has made the switch to Elite.
The Elite Bows are probably one of the easiest bow I have in stock to offer for sell except in some cases for lack of a shorter brace height offerings.
My sales pitch is... Don't shoot these bows unless your really serious about a new bow purchase.........Because you will hate Yourself in the Morning, when you tell your current love of your life ( Bow) it just isn't going to work out :phone:
In response to some of the threads which really hit home after being with my wife for 28 years..... I am concerned when I pass on she will sell my stuff for what I told her I paid for it. :chair:
