Guys,
I need some advice. I just bought a GT500 and had my pro shop here (not an Elite dealer) put an Octane Hostage Pro rest on it. The bottom brush is completely wore out after only 75 shots. The wear is on the right side closest to the riser. Has been shooting real good, until lately it's been shooting low right. Now I know why!!! didn't notice it until the arrow fell off the brush!! Any advice? Thanks in advance--Kevin

The only thing I've heard of is to keep replacing the brushes, or get a Hostage Pro, (with longer wearing brushes), or change to another rest.

Tune it. Probably need to raise your nock point a touch, or lower the rest a touch, either one.

It is pushing down on the brushes as the arrow is going through the rest. Needs a higher nock to eleviate that.

It will shoot with a Hostage rest and will not wear real bad.

would that cause the wear to be primarily on the right side, or is that something else as well? Thanks for the input.

I've not heard to many good things about this rest, many are changing brushes from 100-150 shots. I'd sell it and buy a limbdriver or equivalent

That is a center shot issue. left and right. If it is wearing the right brush move rest out. IF it is wearing the left brush move rest in. Right hand bow.

I had one set up for several months and many hundreds of shots with little or no wear issues. I think amarchery is dead on because your wear is consistent and predictable.

center shot issue makes perfect sense. So much to be said about having a competent archery dealer setting up bows!!! Thanks for the advice.
