How many twists is everyone putting in the cables to get the Synergy back to the correct poundage with the stock length? I think I put in 10 last time. I got a set of Americas Best Bowstrings on the way in 24 strands of 452x.. Just thought I'd double check.. Thanks

Depends on how many twists the string maker put in to start with. You should measure them and get them close to the correct length as a starting point then add or take twists out for weight, timing, a/a, and brace height etc. The strings come set pretty close to what you ordered usually and are tied or clipped together to keep from untwisting when shipping.

If you're having to put 10 twists in the cables to start with. The cables aren't the correct length. When ordering new cables take your old correctly adjusted ones and measure them and order new cables the same length.

Thanks for the info. I should have did that. I don't know if it would have helped, since I told my string maker to make my new strings 56 1/2" instead of the 56 1/4", and he still made them 56 1/4" and also in the wrong color... the standard yellow and black that were on them originally... so.... I was wondering should I just do a draw force curve.... and take some twists out to get everything back in speck after I get the cams timed?? thanks

I played with my '07 Synergy yesterday a little bit. I got everything timed, and the poundage is set @ 70lbs.... My ATA is 33 1/4" and my bh is 7 1/8". When I measured everything on the drawboard, with my 29.5" module.. it appears that my AMO draw for 29.5" is actually a hair over 30 1/8" or 30 1/4". Is this is what is to be expected with this bow? Did the run a little long? Thanks.

You need to add twist to your string to get the proper draw then may need to take away twist in cable to get poundage and sinc dead on if you have the 29.5 mod in then your draw should be 29.5
the 56 1/2 string measurement is not an exact measurement for every bow it is a starting point as are the cable measurements when your done the only measurements that should concern you are the poundage and the draw length everything else is generally within allowances.Once you are done you should measure your strings and cables for future reference[blue print your strings]

Ok... I had just heard that these were running about 1/2" too long. So I figured I was close to spec. My string is 56 1/4".... So would you recommend putting a few twists in the string... then setting the cable back for proper poundage?? So in other words... if I am reading you right, as long as I got 70# and a 29.5" module reading 29.5"s.... everything else should be pretty darn close... ATA... and bh??

ttt I may be putting on new strings and cables soon... just trying to figure everything out to make setting up everything a little easier.
