"D" loop myself & the reason for it is that in my mind it gives you 100% drive to the very centre of your shaft. So in my way of thinking that has got to be the most acurate place to push the shaft from. This is just my opinion.

I started with a Loop for hunting. when I would let down the arrow would pop of the string. put a loop on and no more trouble. never looked back.

I'm confused!
I choose the loop... it just feels better to me.
Sorry Maybee-R... couldn't help it!

If a deer is hold up behind a tree and I have been holding full draw to long I let down. when he steps out I re-draw the Bow. shooting off the string the arrow pops off when you let down. shooting with a loop the arrow stays nocked when you let down.
I mix up words all the time.:noidea:

I prefer a D-loop because of the release I use. I also seem to shoot better with a loop than off the string.

i shoot a loop because they cause less torque on the string.

Loop to save wear on the center serving, plus it keeps everything in line. :thumb:

Sorry but i guess I'm the minority. I still shoot off the string for a few reasons:
One less thing to fail.
With a loop you have to shoot almost 1/2 inch less draw length = less speed.
In low light while hunting it just seems easier to get the release on the string.
Its what im used to.
Good Luck

A loop for me. It saves a bunch of wear and tear on the serving and string
