This year turkey season was tough here in Oklahoma. I only killed one bird.
Smoked this one with the 12 ga "Meat Stick". He's just a jake but he had 4 beards: 6", 5", 1.5" & 1"

Heard no gobbles that morning. I covered a lot of ground and nuthin. I finally set up in an area that I have done well in the past, and called a few times over about an hour. I heard him gobble once about 150 yards away, called one more time and he gobbled about 50 yards away. I got ready and he came sneakin in and I smoked him at about 15 yards. I gave him the old bum-rush and death-choke just to be sure. I had know idea how big he was but I didnt really care cause it had been slim pickins all season here. He actually has more beard than any bird I ever shot, even though I have killed much larger birds. I was proud.

nice job. I killed a triple bearded bird myself this spring. A first for me. But a bird with 4 beards is really cool. congrats congrats!!
