Is the riser the same on a 60 to 70, and 70 to 80 lb gto,

Yes, and 80-90. But 90 on the GTO is as high as they go. Unless you are ME and get one machined to hold up to 140-150#:cheer::cheer:

We do make the Synergy XT up to 100#.

140-150#

what do you shoot for 5gpp at 150lbs, a fence post...

I would just use blunt tips and see if I could take the deer out with blunt force trauma if I were shootin that rig

Cause I can!:homer:

Seriously, I have always shoot heavy weight, I use to shoot 3-d's on 150-160# would have to put red lipstick on my fletchings to see where it went through the target.

If you ever saw what that much energy (over 180# K.E.)can do you would shoot it too.

I don't have to trail many animals.

I love power and speed.:first:

At 150lbs?
the 3-71 spine can hang?

impressive

Have to ask the next logical question. What does MR. Chrono say?

Be careful, the speed freaks out here WILL order them... :haha:

I agree, my 300 Ultra Mag loaded with 104gr powder and a 180gr scirrocco leaves the muzzle at 3800fps. Devastating :drunk:

The 3-71 is the arrow I trust, I'm getting another brand to try. :tape2:

The chrony reads about 465 fps.

My flight arrows were 132 grains out of a 195# bow, now those were UNDER spined.

Kevin

In your spare time you should write book on weight training for advanced high velocity archery.

I think it would be a big seller !:strong:

You might be onto something... I'm a decent size guy @ 6'2" 215 , lift weights 3-4 times a week and am not too old @ 28 yrs. I can shoot 80 all day long if needed but can't imagaine pulling a 140-150 pound bow. I would like to know what Kevin does to acheive that kind of strength or muscle memory, which ever term you prefer.:hail:

The most I've ever pulled was 225#.

That is probably close to my max.

I work out 3-4 days a week, I have designed my own exercises that duplicate how I pull a bow, and I do very heavy back exercises, lots of sets and lots of reps.

I have always shot heavy weight bows, just pulling a heavy bow will help develop those muscles.

And yes after 22 years of pulling 140-200# my shoulders ache a little.

The most I've ever pulled was 225#.:jaw: WOOOOOOOOOOW !!!!!! 225 lbs
I would have to sit down on the ground & put my legs on the riser & put 2 releases on the thing just to pull that back. Also what is the let-off holding 100Lbs  Jeez i would hate to come of the wall with that one, it would turmn you into a human pretzel. Kevin how about putting some video footage of that bad boy in action. Would love to see that sort of performance.

We used to have 105lb Bob Lee custom longbow at our local shop we'd all take turns trying to shoot from time to time,, Talk about strong,,, I liked the sound of my bones snapple , crack ,, pop,,,,at draw,,,,, Our 450lber, {General Lee} was about the only guy who shot the bow on a daily basis and eventually bought it to shoot 3/D,,,LOL:muscleman:
