BAAarcher You da man.:D Another year of so slow cams. another switchback and the drenalin. the only plus is the new LD. The new dxt and S2 is just another years worth of what they already have. S2 318fps dxt 315 fps LD 315fps. I stayed up late last night to check them out.

Well I didn't stay up and I'm glad. I guess they will have something later on at the show, probably something in the target area. The LD does have my attention though.

The same old same old is not really a bad thing. I actually like refinement years. I am sure there new bows are tweaked for better performance and accuracy, which in my eyes, is a good thing.

Just my opinion guys, take it for what it's worth.... NOTHING.

I heard they were coming out with a speed bow But I didnt see that. The Ld shoots ok but My 06 Elite is smoother. Its really disappointing not to see a 335-345 fps. parallel limb bow from Mathews.

Sad part is that they have so many dedicated Mathews shooters that they could have released a reflexed turd with baracuda strings and they would have praised Mat for his next generation engineering!

That about sums it up in a nutshell.

I guess that makes Mat "El Hombre de leche" of the single cam world!

Easy now, I resemble that remark. :o

The fact that you are here says so much, you are starting your transition from them to Elite your "moment of clarity".

Well I'm like most people in archery, I shoot what I like. I don't and won't shoot for any one company cause I want to shoot what I want to shoot. I don't care if Hilary comes up with a bow line, if it's a screamer and accurate I'll shoot it.

Well maybe not Hilary...

Mathews newest/fastest still can compare to an Aigil......pretty funny IMO. I wonder how inflated their IBO stats are this year:rolleyes:

I loved and bought a dren, and it is great to hunt with. It is a great shooter, and I will keep it. We just got an elite dealer in my area, and I shot the 08synergy xtreme, and I loved it. I will be getting another bow soon, but it will not be any of the new mathews. I would say a better than 90% chance it will be an elite synergy or gto. When I shot the Synergy Extreme with the black riser and camo limbs, it made my heart skip a beat. The smoothest draw I have shot out of any of the new speed bows. I will say the dren will make one fine backup bow.:D

Well it's not over yet, I guess they will do something with their target bows at the show. I don't like shorter myself so that was what the yawn was for. I like Mathews, think they make great target bows. I do however love the Elite for hunting and just plain old shooting with. I can't seem to get anyone at Mathews to come out with a hunting bow with an integrated grip. I torque the crap out of the wooden grips.

You know I never give the grip a thought on the Mathews.
It really never bothered me. But I hear alot of guys that dont like it.

I didn't like it, but it was nothing a rasp and sandpaper couldn't cure.

I didn't either until I started shooting integrated grips. The only hunting bow I owned at the time was a Switchback and each time I picked it up my first arrow was two inches left. Can't have that now, can we.

If I had a whine about them it's that you spend x amount of dollars then have to buy an a/market grip and put a vt string on it or at least reserve the center serving. Makes no sense to me.

Shot the new DXT tonight and it WILL NOT do its advertised speed...even with a bare 351gr shaft. It actually felt harder to pull than my Synergy!

I shot mathews bows for quite a few years until I shot my first Elite. Mathews does make a nice bow BUT my E500 and my Envy outperform any mathews I have ever shot 2 to 1. And I am getting that performance with more than 10 lbs less draw weight.

Funny thing is that the Mathews loyalists still praise the latest models........Another first!

Mathews makes a great bow and they have a loyal following. They just don't have anything right now that makes me want to give up what I'm shooting.

For me, I shoot their target bows, C4 and Apex 7. Until Elite ramps that part of their program up I'm sticking with those. I do however love my Energy for hunting and just all around shooting. I shoot the latter half of the year locally with my Elite.
