Not sure if you want this one or not, but gripwerks makes a great 1 piece grip. It is as thin as the side plates though, so not sure if you will want one. Send user name (gripwerks) a pm if interested...

do a search for gripwerks. They look amazing!
I don't think you could get a better after market than Gripwerks. Just one look, and you'll know that they are nice!

That grips looks as if it would be easy to torque.

If you have trouble finding Gripworks. Sneak over to AT. He is easy to find over there

This has worked well for me and friends. On the grip that is the riser face, I use 3/4" velcro, the fuzzy side. Use the adhesive backed material.
It provides a surafce that is comfortable hot or cold, and the price is right, it works great.
If you use it post back with your view.
Thanks

...it's not.
In fact, it gives me just the perfect edge to follow with my bow hand to get repeatable bullet holes over and over...

Your not gonna find a much better Grip for Elite's than Mike's. No worries on torquing, they are super slim and great quality. I've used them on all my bows with great results....

Due to the Viking Grip being rounded and fattened in the palm, it seems as if you would have more contact on the grip, therefore increasing chances of torqueing the bow. Is this not the case?

...the grip contour helps me because the grip is made all the way up into the area where the side plates normally are; and while the riser is tucked into the webbing between my thumb and forefinger around the top of the grip, with my hand at a 45ish-degree angle, the contour of the inside of my palm rides along the left side of the grip perfectly. I don't torque, and I squeeze off perfect bullet holes, without having to do anything to make that happen.
Here's another pic. I wish I had one of me at draw, but I don't have any right this sec.

Here's one that may or may not be better than the one I previously posted.
Seriously, guys, go with the grip that you feel will fit you best, it's of no consequence to me either way. This is just another option. There a lot of people here in Texas as well as elsewhere that have grips made by Scott and they're awesome. The guy's been making 'em forever. I've had a few of his grips on my Mathews and Elite bows and they're functional and look great.
Best of luck with whichever ones you decide on. :thumb:

I think the Jager grips for the Elite line look great. They even have a drop away pad built in. They are really compareable to the Gripwerks, Shrewd, and other slim grips.

That will be my next grip. I've heard some very good things about this grip from a guy who really seemed to know his stuff.

Hey there, Red Boar, sorry, for the delayed response, I don't get on much, except for a Reader's Digest browse on occasion.
...his website is www.Johnsongrips.com (http://www.Johnsongrips.com), but, it's been awhile since it's been updated. The best thing to do might be to give him a call at Viking Archery in Houston. Maybe he could talk to you about what you're looking for, and maybe send you some pics or something. I could be wrong, but I think he's made grips for several pros as well, including some traditional shooters. He can contour the grip to the way you comfortably hold the bow. I like the contour because I can't shoot off the riser (thin aftermarket grips to me are the same), nor can I shoot a monster grip like a Mathews. I need something in between.
I believe the number to Viking is (713) 771-1281, or at least I believe it was when I ordered my grip.
Hope that helps...:thumb:

I have a gripwerks on its way for my GTO. I should have it on next week to try. I will update then, but looks like a great one piece. Well priced also.

...really bold-looking. I like that better than a slim grip. As a general rule, I really don't care how they look, I'd rather have the functionality; but, that one looks like it has the same types of contour. Awesome. Let us know how it works!
