I have always shot 100 grain tips on all my arrows, I don't know any different. Last year I started to mess around with my arrow weight, adding weight up front and shooting lumnocks in the back. Well now I am just thinking about going to a 125 grain head. This is what I came up with. I have a 27 1/5 draw I will be shooting about 71#. This will be my set-up. Gold tip ultra light 400's pro, 125 xl silverflame with a firenoc. This will give me a 382 grain arrow shooting 298fps with a FOC of 10.2 and 76.13 KE. Looks good on paper, I guess I will just have to see how they fly. I am just nervous to jump ship from my normal 100 grain tip.

I've Shot 125's Since I Was 13. I Believe More Kinetic Energy At Any Distance Is The Key. Muley's Act Like They've Been Shot With A 7mm Mag. With A 438g. Arrow. And This Was Back With A Pse Mach Flight 4r-probaly Shooting About 150fps. But They Always Passed Through With Huge Wholes And Success.:)

I am not sure that is enough arrow. Double check the charts. How long will your arrows be? It would work for an arrow 25" long, but no more, if I read the charts right.

My arrow is 28 1/8 from nock to tip.

When you measure length, it should be from the bottom of the u in the nock to the end of the insert, no tip. These bows put a lot of UMPH! behind those arrows so you really don't want to be underspined.

I will shoot the CarbonTech 45/70 Cheetah's with 125's this year to hunt with my 60#, and with my 70#, I plan on their Rhino's 65/80 with 125's. I'll be around 80# KE with that.

These bows really, really pump those arrows out, so double check your charts, and make sure you have enough arrow.
