I have heard some different things lately refering to arrow spine and have some questions for anyone who would like to chime in. I really have no idea what is involved and have always just gone with what the local proshop has suggested.

What is the best way to properly spine an arrow?

If arrow spine deals with speed, bow poundage, and arrow weight including points, nock, vanes etc. is their some type of calculator which can just punch it out for ya?

Should arrow length be cut to your draw or according to spine?

Other than losing KE what are issues shooting ultra light arrows dealing with spine?

this is something I found but will it give you the correct spine or is it just a good place to start.

any help would be great thanx

On taget (Software for Archers) and Archers Advantage are two programs that you can purchase to help with arrow spine. There are a lot of variables in determining spine, right down to specific use (target, hunting, both), but any shaft selector chart will get you in the ballpark.

Michael hit the nail on the head. For my Old Synergy set up I was shooting 70lbs and 28.5 DL with a .400 spine arrow, but cause I cut it to its "spine breaking point" It worked great for me. A .400 spine arrow will go to around .375-.370 if cut to 27.5" Shorter makes it stiffer and 28" makes it a .400 again. Just some useful info.
