Hey all! I'm very excited. I went to my first 3d shoot of the year today in the pouring down rain. The temp was about 38 deg with winds gusting about 20 mph. This is also my first 3d shoot ever with an Elite bow. My score ended up being pretty good overall but it was really good considering the issues that I had with equipment.
My pin light on my sight wouldn't light up the pins, batteries were good. I couldn't see the pins. I guess it does pay to have a bow that pumps out the speed in those cases. My limb driver cord slipped and it's a good thing that I have a tag on there that I take up and serve to the cord above the arm or I would've had to quit. The cord stretched so much that I had to try and adjust it, it was wet and the serving slipped off and dern I had to come up with some major riggin'.
I ended up shooting a 250 out of 360 and I completely missed a raccoon at 35 yds (well the target didn't hold the arrow) coming out of the GT500. I didn't think that score was too bad under the conditions and the fact that I had 6 5's.
I ended up with a second place trophy that I get to pick up at the next shoot.
I can't add my pic for some reason.
