I just wanted to share my happiness. I am just getting into the bow seen & my boy has been going around with me to shoot different bows to see what fits me best. He has taken a big interest in this sport & wants to shoot alongside his ol dad, so I ordered him a Bear Odyssey II today (It will be a surprise). He has an 19 draw & can pull back 20 lbs. I wanted to get him a compound bow that he could grow with & with all the fixens, cams, site, arrow rest, camo colors, quiver, peep, release, bow case, arrows, stabalizer, wrist sling, & string silencers. I got him this all in a packaged deal. His birthday is on Christmas day & we always try to give him a very special gift for his birthday, because having his birthday on Christmas day makes it harder for others to celebrate with us as they are caught up in the christmas festivities. The best gift I have ever recieved for christmas was the birth of my son & nothing will ever top that! The bow will be his special gift this year & I am one proud dad! I cannot wait for the day that we go on our first bowhunt together! By the way, he is getting his bow before me. I am going to wait to see the GTO & then decide on which Elite I will buy, but it will be an Elite, because out of all the bows I have shot, the Elite is right at the top. Thanks for letting me share my happiness!:D

Way to go Dad!! I am sure this will be the begining of a lot of great times.

Now, if only we could get Kevin to come up with something for the little guys... Oh did I mention I am looking for a bow for my 4 year old... Did you get that Kevin... he is 4 (13.5" draw length. :)

Yep, nothing better than spending some time doing what you both love. I love to see kids involved. Going to the pro/ams I get such a kick out of the kids that are fully decked out with all the bows pimped to the max, and just lovin it. Good to hear. :)

My son wants one "just like Dad's", and he has an eye for detail, so you can't fool him.

I have been kicking around the idea of making him a scaled down version of the Envy. I know it would not be cost effective, but I am running out of options at this point. I need to find him a bow, and he nor I like the mini genesis. I will more than likely end up with a Stacey Archery Tom Thumb, but they won't answer the phone.

OK, I need to stop the hi-jacking, sorry.

Very nice and you are going to have an awesome Christmas. It gets even better when he opens it and you see the smile on his face. My son's smile could have lit up a big city when I got him his first bow for Christmas. Way to go!!!!

Good choice purchased that same bow for my 7 year olds birthday back in june shot it everday for a week to get ready for th firecracker shoot .Shot more than I did.In his 3 things he is thankfull for speech in school. 1 was family , new coat 2 (kids ) 3rd was he's bow that he shoots with his family .Have fun with the new memories. Of all the things Ive harvested with a bow shooting 3-d with my 3 kids and starting last year with my wife have been the greatest trophies .:D

Thats awesome. My son just turned 5 and I bought him a bow that he shoots every day. When we go in the woods scouting he drags it along, just in case.
