Just curious if anybody can confirm what a dealer told me about ordering a LH Elite. I was told if I ordered last week it would be at the very earliest late March before I would see a LH bow.Is thsi the normal wait time for a LH Elite pushing 3 months?
I want one but that is a fairly long wait/build time.

I would say it would be at the earliest March. I got mine last year at the end of June

Wow! Thanks,I was hoping to get one before then to be able to set it up and shoot it a bit before a May bear hunt, but it sounds like you are saying more like 6 months wait.
I guess I better not count on it and make other plans.

Late March to early April is the official word.

This is absolutely the worst time of the year to order a bow, always has been, and it's also pretty much when most people do- the big trade shows have just finished up and now ALL the dealers all over the country(world) are placing their stock orders because of dating/pricing. At the same time, customers have just found out about the latest and greatest and they start ordering too. It's like pouring motor oil into the funnel as fast as you can. In addition, being left handed also slows things down. I waited nearly a year one time for a lefty and it never did arrive- I ended up getting a similar model that was available (I used to shoot lefty, as I am left eye dominant- right handed though- I switched back to RH after a few years).

Only the really big manufacturers have bucked the trend and now do a model year release kinda like the car industry- they cash in on the fall hunting season excitement by revealing the new model info then- by the time the trade shows occur, they have ramped up production fairly well if not completely. It's really the best way to do things, IMO- it's not like the old days where bowhunting was theonly real profitable attraction and seasons start 8-10 months away from the show .There ws no impetus for manufacturers to get anything out until summer. Now there is spring hunting for bears/turkeys, 3D shoots, winter indoor leagues/spots, and all kinds of year round archery activity as the sport has boomed-people want the bows NOW!

thats my ramble for the morning.:hit_self:

To be honest I had checked on an LH Elite last fall(Sept.) and was told by a different dealer then that it would be January before they would be available,so I waited.Guess i should have ordered it then! :(

Jeff B, great post. Never thought of it that way. I bet a lot of people think this is the time of year to order since it's the "off season". Regardless it would be great if dealers were actually more accurate/honest on their deliver times. It seems a lot of people are told a few weeks, but rather ends up being a couple months. I ordered now expecting that it may be a couple months, and hope I get mine before turkey season. I was told 3 weeks by the dealer on a new Z28, so we'll see.
