STS question

ok, I removed the STS from my 82nd and I am liking the bow bow even more that way, hopefully my GTO will make it this week.

does anybody here shoot w/o the STS from their Elites?

i HATE the "thump" sound you get from the STS.

The string stopper on the 82nd is kinda weird. A buddy of mine got rid of his also. I hear the new style is different.
I dont notice any noise from the Elites I have. I leave the stopper off the string about a 1/4 inch at brace though.:thumb:

The STs is still on my GT500 and it's quiet as a mouse! I still have the factory string stops on both my 82nd and 101st and have'nt had any issues with either of them even after hundreds of shots (probably better than 1000 actually0. They're still is good shape and both bows are dead quiet too!

mine is an 09 82nd, i had a string tamer on my Guardian & it actually made the bow louder,at least to me.

Well Im pretty tall maybe the wind quiets it down before it reaches my ear LOL!:p
Did you try and adjust it off the string much?

I have an STS on my Envy and it made a pretty big difference. I like it.

mine was really tight against it, no adjustments that I could make, I took it off & now have no issues with it, just wondering if the one on the GTO will be adjustable.

I took mine off my Syn X and it was louder, so i put it back on. I left some space(1/8") between it and the string though. I like it better like that.

Yep, some people only move it slightly away or a 'credit card' width off the string. I think its quieter when you move it out a little more.

YES, the suppressor IS adjustable on the GTO!

cool, ill mess with the one in the 82nd, so far I like it w/o it, but, i hate the little hand shock that I now get.
