Draw length looks a little long. String should touch the tip of your nose, your leaning back a little. Trigger elbow need to come up a touch. And it looks like you may by gripping the bow to tight. Other than that all looks great to me.

It looks like your finger is stretching for the trigger, release maybe to long, causing you to lean. Get a closer pic of the release. This will cause you to lean just like too long of draw. What is your wingspan, tip to tip, of fingers. Mine is right at 6 foot and I have a 28.5-29 inch draw. There are lots to this equation ie; longer fingers and so on. What is the draw length on your bow?

My wingspan is 68, you can't really tell from the picture but I am standing on an incline so that might be why i'm leaning. The bow has a 27 inch draw length.

Thanks for the input!

+1 You're atleast a 1/2" long on DL and ya the grip has got to go. I dont use a sling braid either but my grip is the 'ok' grip. You really shouldnt have any fingers coming back around the grip at fulldraw imo...the bow should naturally fall forward and back into your grasp during the follow thru.

Zing, Now That was Funny,

Honestly, if you can shoot the bow consistently, whats to worry about form?

If the draw length is too long,

I dont think the Z comes in anything under 27"

Get rid of that hoodie first of all & get a TAT one. Then your form will improve tremendously.

I agree shorten that release if you can. so your not reaching so far for it. DL does look long too. If your not slapping your arm you might get away with it though.

I think your DL is a good 1" long, your leaning back from the waist and nock looks a good inch behind corner of mouth/under eye.

I think your draw is about 1" long. That said many decent archers have shot with a DL too long. Have your pro shop measure the draw and see if he can make it as short as possible with those 27" cams. Maybe you can get away with 26 3/4". Ideally I would like to see you get it down more.

For only a month you are doing excellent. I had worse form than that for 5 years before I realized I wasn't standing straight, and I was torquing the bow all the time.

Like most of these guys have said, you must keep a straight spine angle. Right now it looks like you are leaning back just a little at the waist.

Your release arm should form a straight line down the arrow, and since it doesn't, that's one indication your DL is too long. Maybe as much as an inch. Your bow arm would probably be more comfortable a little more relaxed than so straight. Most want the string on the tip of their nose, and you want the nocking point on a straight line under your eye. Shorten your draw length a little and most of this will happen naturally.

Your grip has to go. We shouldn't be able to see your last 3 fingers on your bow hand. The grip should be sitting on the fat part of your thumb with your fingers at a 45 degree angle away from the bow. Touch the tip of your thumb to the tip of your index finger, then form that 45 degree angle with the other fingers.

Work on that and show us some pictures when you have that down pat. And good luck.

Not too bad. How are your groups at 70 yards? :noidea: :)

Well I know others have said it but the draw is atleast an inch long note the nock is behind your eye and your release wrist is bent.Have you checked the draw on the bow maybe it is out of spec.

If you are comfortable shooting the way you shoot, then forget this, keep practicing.....loosen your grip and let the bow cradle in the meaty part of palm a bit though.......rest is fine....

About the slight leaning back put some weight in the front like a stabilizer. The balance of the bow is more holding pressure in the back and not enough in the front to offset the push and pull factor, and as far as the grip I've seen people shoot with hands out like they are waving and some that try to staingle the bow, just "relax" the grip! And 1 other thing is the peep, try pulling the bow back with your eyes closed get comfortable then open your eyes and see were your peep is! Don't force your self to look into the peep it should come natural. Sorry so long, hope it helps! Billy
