Well, this is my first year of shooting spots and it is a little different than 3-D for me. I think the biggest thing for me is getting used to shooting with people 2" on either side of me! Kinda weird if you ask me.......
I have been shooting FITA targets and have been running 577-587 in BHFS. I hope to be able to improve that, but it is a struggle to maintain focus. I am trying to shoot every day and perfect my release.
Any suggestions??
Thanks!
Mark

Yep I know what you mean. Try being left handed, your face to face with somebody on the line. And some people have some really messed up loud bows.
Shot a 295 36X's first week, last night I shot 295 with 38X's. 4 of my 4's where just off the line.

I really became a good 3d shooter after my first year of shooting spots.
Indoor game teachs you you must have a good mental game and have good form to shoot well.
Best tip is get your draw length right.
If your not holding well there a good chance your draw length isnt right.
Next thing is use good follow through.
If you pin is jumpy. Other wise moving irratically and quickly it can be you draw is to short. If your pin moves alot and out of the circle that often means
your draw to long.
Shoot one spot at atime and never think about the shot behind or the score.

Yeah......I KNOW! I usually end up looking at the lefty!! What's worse, or I should say bothers me the most, is to hear shooters cursing and whinning after each arrow.....

Thanks for the info DB!
I know that shooting spots has helped me so far with my indoor 3-D league (can't shoot outside yet in MI). I am more confident gunning for the 14's!

Think of this way. Evertime you miss that X. You missed that 14 ring.
Works for me. Im always saying if that was a 12 ring at 20yrds would be easy.
