I have have. I just went over to Gen Pop. It's deader than a frog after a semi runs over it.

Dave Nowlin

That's really dead. That's what they want. I now understand the deal. When they wake up in the morning they want the same post on top that was there when they went to bed with no additional posts. No wonder they don't like AT. With all the activity over there at night, that post would now be seven or eight pages from the top.

Exactly! Geez Dave, give it up, what is the big deal! No one is asking (telling) you to stop posting in any forum, we went over this in pm's but apparently you only want to hear (read) what you want to. I know you hate me now but I still like you and your posts. Happy New Year

Flatman and Ribbon.

Have a great evening all.

Apparently, in spite of my best efforts ot make myself clear, some still don't understand. I said when I first came to this forum things were very loose with little structure. People were posting about broadheads in General, quivers in general, arrow selection in General, Outfitter rating in General and many other things which had proper sections. No one complained, no one seemed to care. And that really is fine. In fact it was refreshing to have a little less structure. The site has now grown and some object to myself and a few others late night posting in General. We meant no disrespect toward anyone we were just having fun in a ghost town. No one but us was posting. On AT at that time of night there would be 60 or more on the board. We were amusing each other and trying to keep the board alive. That was even mentioned in some of our posts. If I have a problem with posting practices of another member I believe it would probably be right for me to PM that member and even talk with them on the phone if they so desire. Typing on this or any other forum will never be as personal a method of communication as conversation. There is no voice inflection, which can tip off the tone of conversation better than any other method short of face to face. That way problems can be quietly solved in a non-confrontational manner, which is in the best interest of this board. When one member calls another out in a manner which clearly identifies who the other party is that person doesn't have to be named. It is clear to all. Whether the accuser wants to admit it or not the accuser had someone in mind and tryed to identify that person without naming names.

At this point in the life of this board, I and others who were posting late at night have chosen to accept the suggestion we take it to Off Topic. This will hopefully avoid further confrontation. It seems that some aren't happy with our accepting the suggestion. This really has me confused. I stated earlier very sincerely my objectives and was accused of sarcasm. I realize some people sometimes say fine when they are angry and that isn't what they really mean. That was not the case with me. I was using the word in it's more traditional usage. Which means, that's O.K. with me. I said I and others would continue to post in other areas of the board when we could add something in a postive helping way to a post. I said we would confine our little one liners among ourselves and our humor to Off Topic. What more must we do to make the rest of you happy?

Well put brother Dave. And as for the questions of the "grinch" referrence it refers to no one. but a mere reference to the uptight feeling i've gotten from the responses to my light heartedness... i'm a jokester. don't have but maybe a few serious bones in my body, outside of work. when you are put to work that can have life and death consequences you tend to try and seperate that out of your life and enjoy your down time, this is my outlook on it at least. i understand some people are tight laced or want to run a tight ship which is fine for them... but if you complain about wading through our bull then why read it after we've put it in it's suggested place?? other than to try to pick things out of context and make accusations as such have been made. if there is other reasons behind it i'd like to hear it....

thanks
JJ

It must be a real hardship living up there, with all the good food down here. Okra, purple hull peas, butter beans, corn on the cob, boiled crawfish, cajun fried turkey, chicken gumbo, boudain, smoked catfish, hush puppies, crawfish etouffee, brown rice, southern corn bread, country ham but no sweet tea.

Sometimes 8 am, sometimes 9 am, sometimes 5 am. It all depends on what is on my plate for a given day. A while back I was on here until about 2 am and up at 5 am. That isn't something I want to do all the time. It makes old people tired.
