Whats it like up there in Alaska right now? I have been considering doing some Traveling Radiology work in Alaska in the Summer months.. Bet its a little to cold for a Southern boy this time of year. right ? ha

Aggie,

Right now it's 22 degrees with just an inch or two of new snow. It was 15-30 below for 3 weeks and went from 20 below to 45 above in about 24 hours last week. Almost all the snow we had melted and we had freezing rain on top of that. There was quite a bit of flooding because all the drains and culverts are still frozen.

We also had winds in the 50-70 mph range and my roof got torn up.

We had a very dark and wet summer last year but this one is being forcast as warm and pleasant.

There are a lot of itenerant medical people here during the summer. My wife is in the medical field.
