structured. That isn't a bad thing. Now we won't have any more fun posts in the general section as that's taboo. Understood. No more posts in the general section on broadhead tuning or expandibles as that's hunting. Right? No more posts about quiver selection for hunting bows in general either as surely that too is hunting.

Don't get me wrong, these rules are good if all will abide by them. It will be easy for any of us to know what section to go to for what. I have absolutely no complaint with that.

Our late night posts where some of us poke good natured fun at one another belong here in Off Topic. That's not a problem.

I just hope those that want this level of structure will observe the structure not do as they choose as they were doing when I first came here.

It has never been my intent to take over this board. I will say that the fact that some tried to rule this board when I first arrived wasn't pleasing to me.

We all have something in common. We all love archery and Elite bows. Hopefully we can all build on that with out personal attacks on anyone.

Just so I'm sure... that first part was laced with sarcasm? :D

I'd hope that the forum moderators would expand on what subject goes in what area. I assume that's who you're asking...

I'd also say it's up to the forum moderators to move posts as they occur in the wrong spot.

I'm not trying to be confrontational... this is one of the reasons I usually only lurk... like you said in the other post, it's impossible to tell who statements are "aimed" at and what tone is intended...

I think the point they were trying to get across is just try and stay on topic. not to quit posting.:D

Hi :) I'll follow your good humor wherever it goes..well almost atleast to the Off Topic secton
I'll try to abide by the rules too although sometimes that is hard for me to know where my question belongs...although i'll prolly be here most cause I really have nothing profound to say or add to the knowledge dept. ya'll know more than me....I love to shoot and I know my basics but I cant tune anything you want to know about :D I use what I like and unless you want to know where to get all the cool pink stuff that pretty much counts me out of General :D so guess I'll stay here and just behave and have fun playing the game!

Bubba it wasn't laced with sarcasm. I'm very serious. This seems to be what the others say they want. I will stick by these parameters as they seem reasonable. I doubt that those who complained will. This is their chance to prove me wrong.

Dave,
Just do the right thing..............You enjoy helping people which is great for the newer shooters. Don't be offended because others want the "General Discussion " cleaned up, good info was getting lost in the countless meaningless postings.
If you take a step back, I'm sure you can see this.
When you reply, please don't be sarcastic, Texasbubba got the same impression I did in your first reply.

I believe I've tried as hard as I know how to explain that this medium often leads to misunderstanding as you can't hear the voice inflections of others. Then there is the fact that we all read into something what we want to. You wanted to believe I was being sarcastic and I wasn't. I was being as serious as I know how.

Yeah this board was loosely run and the mods depended on members to police themselves with no attacks. When I first came here all kind of posts were in the general section and no one said a word. That's fine. Some were apparently in a contest to see who reached 1,000 posts first. That's fine. I and some fun loving friends decided to post among ourselves after most went to bed. That wasn't fine. So we have moved over here as suggested and to some it still isn't fine. General Section has now gone back as before. Some who are members of the in crowd can post back and forth again. And that's O.K. People can put post in General which should should be in either equipment, tuning or hunting once again and that is fine. I made clear the rules I have self imposed om myself so as to leave little excuse for others to gripe about me. If some of my fun loving friends want to come here and converse, that is fine. If you are feeling pressure from some others not to associate with me, that's fine. I will not participate in an open arguement on this board with anyone. If I have a problem and choose to communicate with the other party, I will do so by PM as proper internet manners dictates. I don't believe I need say more on the subject.
