I just got my first 2 X's in and here is what I got for specs. I left bow setup as was from factory.
#3 mod(29")
71# (71.5# 0n B. C.)
29.25" measured draw
I installed small loop, no peep sight .
Shot 350 grain arrow 317.8 and 317.5fps.
B. C. says 327 at those specs w/o loop. So its not far off.

Is anybody noticing the order of posts and times messed up?I'sure it'll just take a little time to get figured out.

A loop should only take off approx. 2-3fps. What brand is your chrono? We discovered there can be quite a bit of difference between the different brands of chronos. We use a Oehler model 43 here at the factory.

An Oehler is as good as they get. Hard to come by now.

I use the Easton chrono. I also have a Pro chrono which is the slower of the 2.These are the same type of results I got last year with the Envy .Brad , I wasn't bashing . I was just giving my results of real life #'s.

Did the BC say it was 29.25" DL also?

Thats a little on the slow side, How are you measuring the draw length?
and are you shooting by hand or machine, if by hand the results you get are not going to be accurate.

So what you're saying is if I want consistent speeds I need to carry a "hooter shooter" into the woods with me. ;)

I measured to the center of the first rest hole. Then add 1 3/4". It was 27 1/2" to the center of the hole.
I'm not rich enough to have the Hooter shooter yet. But if that new GTO is good enough.........Maybe????

No what I am saying is that a Hooter shooter is the only way to take an accurate measurement. If you think I am wrong that's fine, but I know from experience that a person can affect the speed from shot to shot, sometimes higher and lower.

I hear ya, I wish I had one. Do you have anyone local to you that has one you could use to shoot it?
Also I would not be using the center of the threaded hole for accurate measurement of draw. the correct way to measure the AMO Draw Length is the distance to Pivot Point plus 1 3/4”. I know most manufactures threaded bolt hole happens to be the same as the DLLP but it is not always.

Ya I know I just did it that way as quick reference. I change grips anyways .I did check it after I posted and it is 1/4" off.

Just in case this is news to some, here is a way you can do it without using the grip area.
Take the bow and put it in your bow vice, you have a vice right? And plumb it so it is good straight(plumb) then take a level and hold it upright (plumb) from the deepest part of the grip and see which/where it meets the berger hole and then you know where to measure.

Or take a ruler measure brace to the throat of the grip and then measure the same in reference to the berger hole.

I shot my XT again today and a 390 grain arrow at 60.4# at 29" = 277 fps
